Training
Basic Obedience Training
We offer Basic Obedience for all breeds of dogs. Our basic obedience course teaches your dog the sit, heel, hear, and stay commands. We also offer house training for all breeds large and small.
Advance Obedience Training
Advance Obedience Training will enforce sit, heel, hear, stay, off lead, kennel, and box training. After this training is mastered, we will then teach hand signals.
Basic Retriever Training
This program is designed for the dog that has completed obedience training. We will teach force fetch, steadiness, marking skills, delivery to hand, lining, and further basis handling skills. Dogs will be exposed to gunfire and live birds using different types of terrain.
Advance Gun Dog Training
This program is designed to build upon skills established in the basis training programs. Additionally, this program will include lining, multiple memories, and extend marking, handling, drills, steadiness refinement, site and cold blinds, and diversions (gunfire/birds).
Each dogs has a different ability and will progress differently throughout the training programs. We encourage any and all who are interested in one of these programs to come and participate in any of these training sessions. All dogs that are brought to the Pineywoods Kennel MUST have the following vaccinations ( and proper documentation to confirm):
Rabies
Parvo
Distember
8-1 Shots
Bordatella
*All vaccination records will be kept on file with Pineywoods Kennel during the duration of your training.
